Mosaic Urn Commission

I was asked to replicate the style of a previously purchased garden pot. I knew the original pots maker, so with their blessing and a gift of copious amounts of ceramic material (they were no longer practicing) I set to creating a statement piece for the clients front porch.

We discussed the tonal ranges they would like and the scale and shape of the new pot they would like. Aside from these parameters they gave me free rein to create. They were delighted by the outcome and loved the whimsical addition of the little nesting bird on one of the handles.
